Freelance Hair and Makeup artist
1998 – 2009
I have done hair and makeup on a freelance basis since 1998; I made this my full time profession from 2006. Most of my work in this period was made up being a travelling hair and makeup artist on tour with various bands. I toured with Shiny Toy Guns (sponsored by MAC), Kill Hannah, Clear Static, The Sounds, DJ Sandra Collins and DJ Keoki. Between 1998 and 2001 I worked as a freelance makeup artist on Versace and Hugo Boss’ spring and fall collections. Between 1998 and 2000 I also worked as a freelance makeup artist for Toni and Guy in store. My work has also appeared in a number of magazine titles including NME, Flaunt, D Magazine, Skin Two, Blender, AMP, Seattle Magazine, Dallas Observer and Music Connection.

MAC Cosmetics
2004 – 2007
I began my time at MAC in 2004 as a Retail Artist at the Pro store in Dallas, Texas. I held this position until 2006 when I transferred to Los Angeles. During this time I also assisted in print workshops. In 2006 I was offered the opportunity to tour with Shiny Toy Guns as their travelling artist.

At this time I moved from a permanent position with MAC to working on a freelance basis, when I wasn’t on the road. My work on tour with Shiny Toy Guns was sponsored by MAC.

Toni and Guy
1998 - 2004
On completion of my degree in Cosmetology I became a Chemical Technician in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. In 2001 I became a Test out Educator for the North Texas area, this involved assessing people coming out of training onto the floor. In 2002 I was promoted to Technical Director it was also at this time that I was invited to become a member of the Artistic Team. As a member of the artistic team I taught the advanced courses at the Toni and Guy academy in Dallas as well as working on new collections and hair shows.

Skills

I have 10 years experience of both hair and makeup. I am a qualified Chemical Technician and I have 8 years experience styling models for fashion shows. I also have experience in educating and teaching which I learnt during my time at Toni and Guy. I am qualified to do Runway makeup and print makeup, along with classic beauty makeup.
